# The Farawati Protocol

Checkpoint's approach to artificial intelligence is governed by the **Farawati Protocol**, a framework we developed to ensure that AI strengthens human possibility without erasing human responsibility. The Protocol is not anti-AI. It is a practical, ethical commitment to keeping human agency, authorship, and accountability visible as AI becomes embedded in creative, educational, and public life.

The full Protocol is a working document, developed openly and available for review. This section summarises its core principles, its companion provenance standard (the Farawati Human Mark), and how Checkpoint applies both.

#### Why the Protocol Exists

As synthetic systems become capable of generating text, images, voices, lessons, and media at scale, audiences—parents, teachers, children, creators—need to know where human judgement and responsibility sit. The Protocol provides a language and a set of standards for answering that question. It does not reject AI. It insists that AI must serve human purpose, not obscure it.
